An award

Well, didn't think I'd be blogging again quite so soon but I received a lovely surprise earlier today which really gave me a lift. I had been given an award by a lovely crafty friend, Guilly, The Liebster Blog Award.

For those of you not in the know:
The Liebster Blog Award originated in Germany. Liebster means dearest or beloved, and Liebe is love.

In accepting the Liebster Blog Award, the recipient agrees to:
*Thank the person who gave them the award and link back to that person’s blog
*Copy and paste the award to their blog
*Reveal the 5 blogs ( with less than 200 followers ) they have chosen to award, commenting on their blog to break the news!
*Hope those people in turn pay it forward by accepting and awarding “The Liebster Blog Award” to bloggers they would like to honour.

So a big thank you to Guilly for this award, pop over to her blog have a look.

The 5 blogs that have inspired me and made me smile over the past months are

1. Sue over at where you will find beautiful cards.
2. Laura over at again with some gorgeous cards and colouring
3. Janine over at , like me she hasn't been blogging for long and her cards are fab.
4. Sharon at, very inspirational work
5. Caz at more very inspirational work

First Post

Hi everyone, I finally got round to making my first post. I thought today was a good day to start as the first card I ever made was a Mother's Day one. I made a few cards for Mother's Day this year and I would like to share two of them with you.
The first one I made for my mum

The image is taken from MCS CD Floriography and printed on acetate ( love this image and have already used it for a few other cards). This is then mounted onto card coloured with distress inks, wild honey and rusty hinge and attached using brads. I have then placed this on card which has been embossed on my Sizzix Texture Boutique and then finished of with some ribbon, some punched flowers and a stamped sentiment.

The second card is one I made for my sister from her little boy
The image is LOTV and I got this as a free gift with a magazine,Papercraft Inspirations, perfect for Mother's Day. I've coloured it with chalks and promarkers and placed it on a diecut shape from my stash. The papers are also from my stash as is the bow.The lovely flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Thanks for looking, I'd love to hear your comments
