Birthday Bunting

Today's card is a bright and cheery card on a very miserable day. The image is a Molly Blooms stamp called Molly with bunting and I have coloured this with my promarkers. She has then been placed on an oval diecut edged lightly with spun sugar distress ink. The papers I have used are from sweet memories ( free with a magazine ) and the pink cardstock is from my stash. The border has been punched using an Xcut border punch and the corner using the matching punch. The leaves have been cut from green cardstock using a die which was also a free gift from a magazine. The sweetheart blossoms, roses and cherry blossom are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the fabric and bead flowers from my stash.

I do hope you like Molly.

Until next time, take care and happy crafting.

Roaaaaaar

Well, it's been a while since I was near my poor neglected blog so I've come back with a bit of noise, a roar to be precise.

I needed to make a card for a little boy and couldn't think what I'd go for and then I remembered about the Kraftyhands Dangerous Dinosaurs mini CD. Before I started the card I popped over to their challenge blog and discovered that their current challenge was to use a sketch.

It would have been rude not to have a go.

The card is 8x8 covered in orange card then I've layered on birthday blocks backing paper in blue. I've then used a background from one of the decoupage sets to create the three panels and these have also been matted onto some orange card. For the section at the bottom I've used the blue silhouette paper also from the disc as is the Happy Birthday sentiment and the decoupaged dinosaur. The orange border is Joanna sheen's lace edger 2 die from her signature range. The card has been finished with some orange gems and some orange twine including the little bow under the sentiment.

Hope to be back again soon, until then be good and happy crafting

Birthday Sky

Afternoon, hope you're all keeping well on this very blustery and showery April day.

Today's card is one using a Crafters Companion stamp from their Toread range which can be found here. This is a gorgeous range, I just can't believe it's taken me this long to blog a card using something from it.

  • The stamped image is called Sky and I have coloured this with promarkers and used a scalloped circle die to cut it out.
  • Both backing papers are from the Toread CD and the matting layers are purple pearl card from Papercellar
  • The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts
  • The larger butterfly has been diecut from the pearl card using a joycrafts die and the little ones using a tonic punch
  • I have finished the card off with some green ribbon, a sentiment and some purple gems.

I'd love to know what you think, so please leave a little comment.

White on White

Good Afternoon Everyone it's a gorgeous sunny but cold day here, hope you're having a lovely day wherever you are.
I'll show you today's card in just a minute but before I do I'd like to say thank you for all the lovely comments you have been posting on my blog, I love reading them and they are very much appreciated.

The card today is one I made after being challenged by some friends to make a white on white card with an image. I was a bit dubious to start with but once I got started I really enjoyed making it, though I have to admit the first couple of attempts went into the bin.

This was a tricky one to photograph but the red background and bright sunshine helped.

The card is 6x6, the first layer has been embossed using a swiss dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug.
The second layer is the same white card which has some snowflakes stamped  ( free gift, I think) on it and heat embossed using some white embossing powder from Stampendous.
The cute image is gift box bears from La Pashe, this has been die cut using a die from Xcut and I have added some crystal glitter to the edge.
I was orginally going to using snow flakes die cut from glitter card but it looked a bit grey so I die cut them from white card then sprayed them with stick and stay from Crafters Companion and then dipped them in crystal glitter and got a lovely fluffy effect.
I finished the card off with the Memory Box die Frosty Border, a ribbon and bow from my stash, a sentiment printed from my computer and a snowflake embellishment also from my stash.

I'd love to know what you think, so please leave a little comment

Butterfly Kisses

Hi there, hope you're all keeping well on this lovely, bright, sunny day, it feels like Spring is on the way.

This post was originally planned for yesterday but unfortunately my cold hadn't quite cleared up and I ended up with a migraine on top of this, so really wasn't up to it. Anyway, enough whinging, the reason I was hoping to post yesterday is because this card was for a lovely friend's birthday ( would call her an old friend but I'm not sure she would appreciate it ).

The image is Lizabeth - Butterfly Kisses by Heather Valentin, when I first saw this digi I immediately thought of my friend as she loves butterflies. I have coloured Lizabeth using my Promarkers, Flexmarkers and a little bit of chalk for the ground. I went for a favourite combination of mine, green and pink although I have gone for a deeper shade of pink and a blue/green this time. The image has been matted on to some pink co'ordinations card and then on to some green card which has been embossed with butterflies using a folder which came free with a magazine. This has then been mounted onto paper from the Spring Feast paper pack by Trimcraft and this has been distressed at the edges with Bundled Sage distress ink. The dies used are Fanciful Flourish from Cheery Lynn and the butterfly is by Marianne Designs ( cut from both the pink and green card and layered up). I have finished the card off using some flowers from Wild Orchid, some butterflies - punched using a tonic punch, a sentiment and some pink pearls from my stash. I have also decoupaged the butterfly that Lizabeth is holding to give it some dimension.

I do hope she had a lovely birthday and didn't overdo the wine last night, lol.

Right I'm off now to play Wii Sing with my two girls, heaven help the neighbours

I'd love to know what you think, so please leave me a little comment.

Key to my heart

Hi Everyone, hope you've all had a lovely day today, whatever you were doing.

Today's card is a Valentine's card, well it is only a few days away.

The card is a 6 x 6 easel card, the green matting layer is from my stash the lovely pink heart paper is from Love Letters paper pack. The fabulous digi is Lizabeth Key to My Heart by the lovely Heather Valentin and I have coloured it with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I have cut the speech balloon on my poor neglected Silhouette and the key is a die from Joycrafts. The stopper has been made using a Dovecraft Border Punch Ribbon Heart. The card has been finished off using a green vevet ribbon and a pink heart, both from my stash.

I'd love to know what you think, so please leave me a little comment.

Ooh Arrrr!

Well, this promise to myself to blog more often hasn't quite worked out but in my defence I have been out of sorts for the last week and a half. Oh well, no point in moaning about it, just pull myself up by the bootstraps and get on with it.

The card I'm going to share today is for a little boy

The image is a digistamp from Pollycraft called Pirate which has been coloured with my Promarkers and then die cut with an x cut die.
The stripy paper is from my stash and the other paper is from Nitwits Landhootoo collection.
The palm tree has been cut from one of the nitwits papers in the collection as has the treasure chest, which has then been triple embossed to give a lovely glossy finish and then hung from a blue ribbon using jump rings. I've finished off with some matching blue gems.

I'd love to know what you think, so please leave me a little comment.

Daisy Thank You

Good Morning, lovely bright sunny day here again but bitterly cold so good excuse to stay in and craft, though I might need to start with a few star jumps to warm me up.

The card I have to share today is a thank you card.

I started with a 14.5cm x14.5cm and cut the front off on the diagonal. I then matted and layered with some co'ordinations card stock in green and some lovely yellow daisy paper taken from the SWALK papercrafting CD. The image is from Justinklined called Daisy Patch and can be found here or on The Best of Justinklined 2012 CD. I have coloured this with my promarkers, cut into a circle and matted on to some more of that lovely green card. The sentiment is one I received free with Quick Cards Made Easy and then die cut. The card is finished off with a butterfly punched from green glitter card using a tonic punch.

I'd love to know what you think, so please leave me a little comment, don't be shy

Bunches

Hi Everyone, hope you've all had a lovely day. I've had a very productive day here clearing out a lot of things, you know the 'stuff that you keep in case you might need it' . I even tidied out  my ribbon box that had been shoved to the back of a cupboard and it's all colour coordinated now - it'll never last lol.

The card I want to share today was made for a little girl who isn't overly fond of pink.

The digistamp is by Pollycraft again and I have coloured her with my Promarkers and used a scalloped oval die from X-Cut for both it and the sentiment. The papers are from Dovecraft Back to Basics II paper pack and the plain card from my stash. The butterfly is a brad from my craft box as are the flowers which were white and then coloured with my promarkers to match.

I'd love to know what you think, so please leave me a little comment, don't be shy

Fishy

Hi Everyone, hope you're all keeping well and had a lovely Christmas and New Year. We had a lovely relaxed, family Christmas and spent a lot of time playing with dolls, Lego, jewellery making etc, even managed to catch up on some reading. After the mad Christmas card making rush I decided to have a break and stayed away from my craft room for most of the holidays. The room was a bit of a tip and needed cleared out but no crafting done in it until the children went back to school on Monday.

I made this card a little while ago for a little boy and wanted to try to keep it nice and bright

The card is 14.5cm square, I've matted and layered with orange card from my stash and some lovely glittered fishy paper which is from a Bazoo paper pack by Hels Cuppleditch. The image is Fishy from Pollycraft and I have coloured it with my promarkers. I have finished the card off with some ribbon and a little ticket  sentiment from my stash ( I think I received this free from a magazine but I'm not sure ). I stamped it in orange and then used some UTE powder to add some shine and a little bit of shape to it.

I'd love to know what you think, so please leave me a little comment, don't be shy
